Embracing Life's Fullness

Finding balance when everything feels important

Has this ever happened to you? Perhaps you’re feeling full with end of summer activities or family obligations, and you’re also looking at the plans you have for your writing or business, such as revisions or marketing efforts, innovative programs, website updates.

Suddenly, it can feel like a lot.

I’m coming off a weekend full of family—three generations together for birthday celebrations. There were long meals and slices of cake, car rides and deep conversations. I’m also looking out toward a year of more personal change on the horizon. And I’m starting a month full of new things in my business—my new writing groups, more business and marketing offerings.

I have some hopes for my creative writing.

This morning, I was feeling constricted. I just can't do it all, I thought.

And then, I realized my mind was, yet again, creating a false binary—an either-or situation.

I was reminded of what I know for sure, which is there is always space for what we love in our hearts.

We only need to lean in and ask What wants attention right now? And we’ll be guided to tend to the right thing.

What are you looking to tend to this week?
